Education Department

Training
The specialized training sessions are designed for people in positions of authority. They provide clear legal guidelines and practical tools: receiving a disclosure, intervening with tact and discernment, ensuring a safe return to work, applying reasonable measures, etc.
Awareness session
The awareness sessions allow work teams to better understand what harassment is (psychological, sexual, discriminatory), how it manifests itself, and how to respond to it. These meetings often spark valuable collective reflection.
Workshop
Beyond training sessions, GAIHST also offers tailored participatory workshops. These spaces allow for collective reflection on psychosocial risks, power dynamics, inclusion, or the support of people who have experienced workplace harassment, for example.
Policies
The department also provides assistance in drafting or updating organizations’ policies on the prevention and handling of harassment. Each approach is tailored to support the autonomy of the organizations while ensuring effective and consistent implementation.
Training platform
In November 2024, a free online training platform was launched with support from the Secretariat for the Status of Women. It provides workplaces with round-the-clock access to modules on sexual, psychological and discriminatory harassment. This resource is particularly useful for new hires or as a supplement to in-person training.
Our Advisor
Myriam Dupéré is an advisor at GAIHST. A graduate of the Université de Montréal in Occupational Health and Safety, Myriam has always had a particular interest in issues related to workplace violence and harassment.
She is notably responsible for evaluating, developing and facilitating awareness sessions and training offered to employees, employers and organizations in the public and private sectors who seek to be informed and equipped on matters of workplace harassment. She also contributes to the development of awareness tools, in addition to developing and reviewing prevention and management policies on sexual and psychological harassment in the workplace. Passionate and committed, awareness and training are, for her, two key concepts in terms of prevention.
